Rating: - Great DVD Player for the price
This product to my mind does what you expect from a portable dvd player. I have no other dvd to base my opinion on because I have not really looked at a portable one before. The sound is really good and the picture is clear. I have not bought it to use in the car but did try to fit it in the bag and it was abit oversized to fit completely in but I may not have done it right. I charged it up at Christmas and played a dvd on it and have just put a cd in and it is playing fine so the battery stays charged for a long time. The downside for me of this player is it does not play multi regions. I put a region 1 disc in from the USA and it said "Wrong Region" I actually chose this for the multi region capabilities advertised. I kept the machine because it was too close to Christmas to swap. But it is a good player. If you want multi region dont choose this player.
If any one knows how to make this player multi region I would be interested to find out. I know that you can sometimes change the settings. on players.

Rating: - Great little DVD player
I bought two of these DVD players in July 2006 for my 4 year old and 2 year old. I wanted something inexpensive and fairly robust. The 2 year old is really too young for one but would have felt left out if he didn't get one too! The players have been great and are robust enough to withstand being dropped from the kids laps to the car floor. Attaching them to the back of the headrests is a bit tricky and in the end we gave up. Also the DVD player doesn't sit nicely in the case when the battery pack is attached.

All round, I am very happy with them and have come on-line today to buy another one as a present. I'd definitely recommend this player for use in the car. Picture and sound are good. For young kids the earphones are no use but the built-in speakers are good enough.

Rating: - Cheap quality
Ours was Dead on Arrival so didn't have a chance to try it out but the whole build quality was cheap as I suppose you'd expect at the price, the instructions were poor, the battery pack was rechargeable up to a maximum of 300 times which isn't very long, the battery pack also fitted rather flimsily onto the back of the unit. Sent it back, won't get another!

Rating: - Unreliable product
I got through 3 or 4 defective units within the first few weeks of purchase. The last unit worked fine for 7 months then broke. The replacement unit became defective within a month. Most problems related to the films freezing on playback even with new, clean DVDs. Amazon customer service were excellent through-out and I ended up switching to a Philips PET 720 (from Amazon) which seems excellent so far plus remembers point of last playback which the Daewoo doesn't have.

Rating: - Good little machine
We took delivery of this today and it worked straight off. For the money the quality is good and the picture is fine. Sound not bad either considering the size of the speakers. Only one problem and that is the instructions are not that clear. They could do with being upgraded.
If you are looking for a budget player then I would recommend this without hesitation.
