I am going to buy a 2Gb to see if that works! I dont have any other devices that can use SD cards at the moment. Rating: - Hit and Miss, but worth a punt at the priceSD cards aren't supposed to have this much capacity, so I was a bit dubious about buying this product as it shouldn't work. I thought I'd give one a go as they are stupidly cheap and I really wanted to double the SD capacity on my Pure Evoke DAB, As SDHC cards aren't backwards compatible with original SD hardware, this looks like the only way of boosting storage on SD hardware . Was pleased that my card reader on my dell dimension C521 recognised it as having 3.8 Gb and had no probs with file transfer. However, neither of my Pure products (evoke and the bug) recognise the card. However my pentax optio5Z and nikon d40x cameras are both able to use it. Ho Hum. Go on, give it a punt, from my small sample size, it looks like 50% compatability!!!. Its cheap enough to give it a go, if it doesn't work with your hardware, i'm sure a friend would appreciate giving it a go. Rating:  - Compatability problemsI too have had compatability problems - does not work in my Canon Digital IXUS 750 - nor is it recogised on my laptop (Dell Ispiron 6400). So no use to me - I did not realise that you cannot have a 4GB std SD card - will put the card in a drawer and try it again when I have a device that recogises SDHC. Wish I had not been so greedy and had instead gone for the 2GB card. Rating: - This card has compatability problemsBeware that this card is not compatable with many SD devices. We have tried it in our Pentax SLR, TOMTOM, Sandisk cardreader, Palm PDA and it is not recognised by any of these devices. All these work fine with our current 1GB SD cards. The devices are not SDHC compatable - although it is not sold as SDHC this card may be OK if the device accepts SDHC cards. Note that the SD Association website gives the maximum capacity of standard SD cards as 2GB. On the plus side, Discountdiscs took the card back and tested it when I contacted them. They confirmed it was not faulty and returned it at no cost - however, it is still not useable in any of our devices. Hopefully we may be able to use it in some future device. Rating:  - Works with Canon Ixus 40Bought this for my Canon Ixus 40 Camera after I had run out of space on a recent holiday with my 2gb card (I shoot a lot of video on my camera). I was concerned that 1) The card may not work with the camera, although I thought it probably would and 2) It would not be fast enough to shoot continuous video- cheaper cards I have had before have stopped the video after about 20 seconds because they would not write fast enough. The camera itself will only allow video in 1GB blocks, but the card is fast enough I believe to continue the whole 4GB if it could. Well, I am pleased to say that there are no worries on either count and the thing works perfectly. I can now shoot nearly 2000 pics or about 35 mins of top quality video on this one card. The card is something of an anomaly in that, as other reviewers say, it should not technically exist. Bizarrely it is not even featured in Transcend's mini catalogue which comes in the packaging which looks to include every other card they do. Anyway, don't worry about that because it does exist and it works like a dream and is unbelieveable value at £6.99 delivered. If you have one of the older Canon Ixus from the 40 up and want more storage but your camera cannot take the newer SDHC cards, I think it is a pretty safe bet that this will work with your camera and it is a no brainer purchase.
