The third has also now packed up. Alba Customer Support could only suggest pressing reset and using a lens cleaner which did no good at all. Seems to me the problem is with the laser rather than the discs. There is a good reason why they are cheap, they are rubbish!! Rating:  - Multiregional and a real bargain!This multiregional player works beautifully and was about a third the price and a third the size of our old one. It is also much easier to use and has better sound. There was no "set up" - we just plugged it in - and the remote is a nice size and not too complicated. In fact, we liked this DVD player so much that we ordered another one for our son, and he loves it as well. Thank you Amazon - another great product at a fantastic price! Rating: - Move on to another playerWe used the player for about 6 months before it developed the same defect as another buyer reports below: a continuous fast-forward loop. I would strongly advise buyers to look elsewhere for a dvd player. Rating: - It stopped working the third time I used it!!!!I really regret buying this DVD player and I wish I had read reviews on it before buying it. I can't change it either as I misplaced the receipt. It was working fine and playing region 1 & 2 dvds and then it just stopped working . Everytime I try to play any DVD now it just says "loading" for a while and then "bad disk." Rating: - DudI recently ordered this item and it did not work. I tried every region of DVD I own and it did not work. I contacted the company to find out if there was anything I could do and they did not respond at first. After a second enquiry, they responded and advised me to try a lens cleaner, which I did. It still did not work. I returned it to amazon and bought the Philips multi-region player for £20 more and it worked right out of the box and after entering a simple code, it played all my DVDs.
